How long have you been coming to our office? How did you hear about us?

I’ve been seeing Dr. Anna for around 15 months. I needed help with my back, neck and hip area but I didn’t want the traditional chiropractor who just “cracks everything” like popcorn! So I googled and asked friends on local Facebook groups and everyone suggested Be Well Chiropractic! 

What was your quality of life like before seeking chiropractic care?

Before seeing Dr. Anna, I suffered around 13 migraines a month from bad TMJD and neck tension, my upper back was so tight, my lower back, in particularly sciatic area, was a hot mess. That led to my hip and SI joint being inflamed and super tight. All of this was increased when I realized I also suffer from an autoimmune disorder, Hashimotos. Finally my personal life was very stressful and difficult which was causing a ton of pain both physically and emotionally. Chronic PTSD caused my Hashimotos to flare which caused my body to say, “ENOUGH!” So I finally listened and took action. 

What solutions did you try before coming in?

I’ve tried diet, thinking my weight was an issue which it is a factor but not the only culprit. I’ve tried medication like Aleeve and Motrin but they were only temporary fixes. I’ve tried ointments and light exercise. I even tried Physical Therapy.  Oh my favorite…I tried avoidance and complaining but nothing seemed to help! lol! 

How has chiropractic care helped your health and changed your quality of life?

Going to Dr. Anna has helped my well-being in so many ways! After my X-rays and describing my issues it turned out my right hip was tilted giving me an imbalance (just like the picture she has hanging on the wall Lol!) and my C1 and C2 were misaligned! So after many adjustments, lifestyle changes and behavioral changes, like I no longer “crack” my own neck, my body feels so much better! From my mobility to my pain, I can actually feel when I’m out of alignment! Light exercise is easier now. Inflammation is better now because I’m able to move my body more. Nutrition has gotten better because I’m feeling better physically and therefore feeling better mentally. My migraines have decreased significantly down to around 5 a month and more importantly the migraines have become more of tension headaches than migraines. My sleep even improved. 

What do you love the most about Be Well, Dr. Anna, and the staff?

Dr. Anna’s approach and technique she uses within her practice is personal, validating, and is what makes her unique. She will listen not only to the tests she takes, what your body is trying to communicate but also YOU and what’s going on in your life. She is not only an expert at her skill and within her field but she is also empathetic, non-judgmental, and always willing to help you beyond the chiropractic boundary. Dr. Anna and I have discussed exercising, nutrition, supplements and life. She educates me further when she recognizes I’m interested but doesn’t judge or shame me when I’ve regressed or plateaued. Dr. Anna immediately invests in you as a patient the minute you’re on board! She’s been my chiropractor, my educator, my safe space, and my friend! I have and will always continue to recommend her and her amazing practice to everyone!
